Kuala Lumpur: Guide
Kuala Lumpur é a capital e a maior cidade da Malásia. Situa-se no interior do país e tem cerca de 3.7 milhões de habitantes. É o maior pólo comercial do país. Cerca de dois terços da população são de origem chinesa e indiana. Foi fundada em 1857 e tornou-se capital dos Estados Federados Malaios em 1896. O domínio britânico terminou em 1957 mas Kuala Lumpur continuou a ser a capital da Federação Malaia até 1963 e da actual Malásia desde então. Tornou-se território federal em 1974. Está em construção uma nova capital em Putrajaya a sul de Kuala Lumpur.
